ITINERARY

DAY 1: SINGAPORE - ATHENS

Highlights:

Syntagma Square, Greek parliament building, Monument of the Unknown Soldier, Panathenaic Stadium, Temple of the Olympian Zeus, Parthenon, Acropolis

Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Athens, the capital and largest city of Greece. Upon arrival, embark on a half-day city tour to attractions like Syntagma Square and Greek parliament building. Syntagma Square, which means constitution square, is located in the centre of Athens and remains as the public transportation hub in the city. Thereafter, head to the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, guarded by Evzones in their present-day ceremonial uniform, before adjoining to the Panathenaic Stadium where the 1st modern Olympic Games was held in 1896. Then, immerse yourself in Greek mythology as you explore the archaeological site of the Temple of the Olympian Zeus. More ancient ruins await your discovery at Parthenon and the world-famous Acropolis, an ancient citadel that was built between 437 and 432 BC. Located on a limestone outcrop, these unique masterpieces combine different styles of Classical art and are of great significance in Greek history and architecture.

DAY 2: ATHENS - DELPHI

Highlights:

Archaeological Sites of Delphi, Sanctuary of Apollo

Today, begin your journey to Delphi. Visit the grand archaeological sites of Delphi, considered by the ancient Greeks to be the centre of the world, and see the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo on the slopes of Mt Parnassus. Regarded as the most important sacred site to the ancient Greeks, the Sanctuary of Apollo was home to the famous Oracle and is filled with monuments, statues and some 20 treasuries of the Athenians.

DAY 3: DELPHI - KALAMBAKA

Highlights:

Meteora Monasteries

This morning, depart for Kalambaka, the town nesting on the foot of Meteora, and visit the spectacular and mystical UNESCO-listed Meteora monasteries. Perched dramatically on top of huge vertical sandstone pillars, they cut a striking scene as the entire complex appears to be suspended in mid-air. Inside, marvel at the exquisite collections of Byzantine art, manuscripts and jewellery.

DAY 4: KALAMBAKA - ATHENS

Today, return to Athens for your overnight stay.

DAY 5: ATHENS - MYKONOS

Highlights:

Monastery of Panagia Tourliani, Kalafatis Beach, Platis Gialos Beach, Mykonos Town, Little Venice

Today, transfer to the port of Piraeus to take a fast ferry ride to the island of Mykonos. Upon arrival in Mykonos, begin your island tour starting from Ano Mera where its main square features traditional cafes and restaurants, a marble fountain and the Monastery of Panagia Tourliani. Proceed to the famous beaches of Kalafatis and Platis Gialos. Next, stop by Mykonos Town to visit Alefkantra, an 18th-century district known as Little Venice. This afternoon, enjoy a seafood platter lunch. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Explore its famous windmills, the church of Panayia Paraportiani and stroll along the charming narrow alleys.

DAY 6: MYKONOS - SANTORINI

Highlights:

Local Wine Tasting, Fira Town, Oia Village

After breakfast, transfer to the port to take a fast ferry ride to the romantic island of Santorini. Upon arrival, head to a local winery for wine tasting and learn about some of the famous wines produced in Santorini. Spend some time at leisure in Fira town. In the evening, visit the gorgeous cliff-top Oia Village for a breathtaking view of the technicolour cliffs, houses and surrounding beaches. Oia, beloved by artists, newly-wed couples and tourists, is the ideal Santorinian village known for its incredible sunset views. Stroll along the charming road with cliffs on one side and endless sea views on the other. Stay overnight on the Island.

DAY 7: SANTORINI

Today, explore this amazing island at your own leisure. You may wish to join an optional Santorini day tour to take in more of the islands’ sights such as Black Beach of Perissa and Red Beach. Head up to Prophet Elias, the highest point of the island and enjoy the incredible view over the islands, the caldera and neighbouring islands.

DAY 8: SANTORINI - ATHENS

Today, take a short domestic flight back to Athens. Tonight, enjoy a Michelin-recommended dinner in a local restaurant.

DAY 9: ATHENS

Today, enjoy your free day in Athens.

DAY 10: ATHENS - SINGAPORE

If time permits, of course there is always last-minute shopping before bidding farewell to Athens as you transfer to the airport for your flight home.

DAY 11: ARRIVE IN SINGAPORE
